Service Description: <div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p style='margin:0 0 16 0;'><span><span>Significant Natural Areas (SNA) as identified in the Taupō District Plan. Significant Natural Areas are areas of significant indigenous vegetation and/or significant habitats of indigenous fauna that have been identified on the Planning Maps and listed in Schedule 7.8 of the Taupō District Plan. </span></span><span><span>The Council is required to identify and protect significant natural areas under the Resource Management Act 1991. The SigNatID can be used to search </span></span><span><span>for a Significant Natural Area within the E-Plan. </span></span><span>Significant Natural Areas were identified within Plan Changes 24 and 25 in June, 2013. </span></p><p style='margin:7 0 0 0;'><span><span>The Taupō District Plan has been operative since 2007. Selected datasets from the Taupō District Plan have been ma</span></span><span><span>de available for download to allow for better public access to the data underlying the plan. Note that some features mapped for district plan purposes may have changed over time. </span></span><span><span>Taupō District Council does not make any representation or give any warranty as to the accuracy or exhaustiveness of the District Plan data released for public download. The data provided is indicative only and does not purport to be a complete database of all information in Taupō District Council's possession or control. Taupō D</span></span><span><span>istrict Council shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense (whether direct or indirect) arising from reliance upon or use of any data provided, or Council's failure to provide this data.
